Actor saves man who fell on tracks

NEW YORK The fallen man hit his head when he landed on the tracks Monday at Penn Station in Manhattan.

The New York Times says actor Chad Lindsey leaped onto the tracks, tried to wake the man and yelled for help.

Then he hoisted the man onto the station platform and vanished in the crowd.

Lindsey tells the newspaper that he could see the lights of the train approaching the station.

The 33-year-old actor appears in a show called "Kasper Hauser" in a role that requires him to repeatedly lift a character who cannot walk.
