Prosecutors allege that Jenkins was conspiring to commit a home invasion robbery to get his hands on the money. Jenkins works out of the 23rd Precinct in East Harlem. Authorities say they have audio and videotaped recordings of Jenkins conspiring to rob the occupants of an apartment in Upper Manhattan. In that apartment, prosecutors say, a drug dealer hid the money under the floor. Jenkins was allegedly to recover the money by tying up the current occupants. Jenkins did not enter a plea, and his attorney did not comment.
