Thousands turn out for cancer walk

NEW YORK In Central Park, the rain couldn't keep the thousands of walkers away as they shared stories of survival and banded together.

In Parsippany, New Jersey, survivors focused on the importance of educating others on regularly performing breast exams and getting mammograms.

Several members of the Eyewitness News team took part in the event and helped to raise thousands of dollars.

Since 1993, nearly 5 million walkers have raised more than $340 million to help fight breast cancer.
