Newburgh schools closed Fri. after brawl, murder

NEWBURGH Police say a group of teens got into an altercation near First Street and Carpenter Avenue Wednesday.

Knives were drawn and four teenagers, ranging in age from 12 to 17, were stabbed.

One of the injured, 17-year-old Levy King Flores, died from multiple stab wounds while being transported to the hospital.

A 13-year-old is charged with second-degree murder. The three other stabbing victims are expected to survive.

This is the first homicide in Newburgh this year.
