Metro-North Harlem line resumes with residual delays

NEW YORK Spokesman Dan Brucker says customers should expect delays on the Harlem line because a lot of trains are backed up, after downed trees in the area temporarily suspended service between White Plains and Hartsdale.

Harlem Line trains are experiencing delays of up to 30 minutes. However, all three lines, the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lines are running.

Metro-North trains are experiencing delays of up to 30 minutes between Poughkeepsie and Beacon due to downed trees in the area. In addition, customers can expect minor delays due to slow boarding on snowy platforms.

Metro-North operated on a special Winter Weather Schedule during the morning rush, combining nearly two dozen trains and eliminating select trains.

Crews are working all day to clear platforms, stairs and walkways. Additionally track workers and signal maintainers are deployed to keep tracks and switches clear.
