How to Help Tigers and Endangered Wildlife

NEW YORK Tigers are endangered because they are losing their natural habitats and being hunted. Entire populations have gone extinct in several countries.

On April 24, the Wildlife Conservation Society will host the second annual Run for the Wild. Proceeds from the Run for the Wild fundraising efforts will help to protect tigers and other wildlife and their habitats worldwide. Learn more about the run and register or make a donation.

The Wildlife Conservation Society has programs in nine countries where tigers live: Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Russia and Thailand.

WCS is working to save tigers by expanding their population numbers. They are establishing protected areas, providing support for law enforcement efforts against poachers and collaborating on scientific research into tiger populations.
