Thirty-four-year-old Josh Eastman of Bridgeport said Thursday he did not encourage the boy to spew profanity and recorded the clip because the child developed a reputation in the neighborhood for swearing.
Police say Eastman was arrested and charged with impairing the morals of a child after the boy's mother alerted authorities of the clip titled "Swearing Kid." He posted $2,500 bail and is due in court Sept. 8.
Eastman said his family and the boy's were friendly, and he would have taken the video down if they had asked.
A Bridgeport police spokesman said the video has been taken down.
