FAA spokeswoman Holly Baker says two other people aboard the Cessna, registered to a Ronkonkoma company, were seriously injured in the crash Sunday in Leverett. She says another person was in critical condition.
The Republican of Springfield reported that state police in Northampton, Mass., said the plane hit power lines.
No other details were immediately available.
The National Transportation Safety Board will be on the scene Monday.
