They are here for the same reason. To help a family in need. They all know about this family through Melanie's Facebook page, Adopt a Family, Hurricane Sandy.

"So I started a post on Facebook to keep track and everyone starts sharing it and it went viral," she said.
That's where Michelle comes in. She liked the page and jumped right in. Michelle is a single mother of two young children. She lost power, but kept her home. She wanted to help those who weren't as lucky.
"When you got out and drove around you just wanted to hug someone or help someone it makes you feel good to make them feel good," Michelle O'Toole said.
So for days now she has been bringing Mike Goldspring and his family food. One day she even did 9 loads of their laundry.
"So much love... It was overwhelming," Goldspring said.
Mike and his wife Barbara lost their house in Seaside Park. They are taking care of Barbara's 92 year old father and their 25 year old autistic son. They had nowhere to go. No one to turn to, until their story was posted on Melanie's Facebook page.
"You lost everything and these people come up out of nowhere and they are like you sisters and brothers," he said.
Goldspring says he doesn't know how to say thank you.
Brook Adam saw the post too. She lost her kayaking business in Seaside Heights, but saved her truck. So she drove it over here to help the Goldsprings move from one temporary shelter to another.
"We're gonna do it and get them settled and maybe we have to move them again. I don't know," Adam said.
Nobody really does and it's that uncertainty that keeps people up at night, but knowing others have your back when you need it the most - You simply can't put a price on that.
Michelle Gannon runs a non-profit cancer organization devastated by Sandy, and still it is going to pay for Mike and his family to stay in a hotel.
"And I told them I won't forget about you. We are right here and we will figure this out. So that's what we're doing," Gannon said.
Because that's just what family does!
