Shooting at LAX

November 1, 2013

We know that at least one TSA officer is dead. We don't know yet the motive. But it's our top priority as we prepare our 11 p.m. newscast. Our Carolina Leid is on top of the story for us tonight.

Because of the shootings at LAX, security suddenly beefed up here at area airports. And we know security has already doubled for the marathon this Sunday - with the security budget rising to $1 million. Stacey Sager will lead our marathon security coverage tonight at 11.

We'll also have any breaking news of the night, plus Meteorologist Lee Goldberg's AccuWeather forecast (a windswept, rainy morning commute), and Rob Powers with the night's sports. I hope you can join Sade Baderinwa and me, tonight at 11.

And a reminder: Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday morning at 2 a.m., so before you go to sleep Saturday night, turn your clocks BACK an hour. Remember - spring ahead, FALL BACK! And while you're at it, change the batteries on your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as well.
