Fatigue factor

February 4, 2014

For much of the tri-state, the snow will be followed by ice, and so there are real concerns tonight that the commute in from the 'burbs tomorrow morning will be a rough go. There are also worries that ice will bring down power lines, so utility companies are bracing for what could be a rough day ahead.

Meteorologist Lee Goldberg leads our coverage tonight at 11, with reporters Jim Dolan and Josh Einiger in the field, covering the preps for the storm.

Also at 11, Mayor Bill de Blasio, risking ticking off a large segment of New Yorkers, but also ensuring so many others will support him – by refusing to march in the St. Patrick's Day Parade (the nation's largest) on Monday, March 17. The reason? Parade organizers will not allow openly gay and lesbian marchers to participate, and so de Blasio, as he did when he was Public Advocate, refuses to march. Or, to quote the great, late Phil Ochs, "I ain't-a-marchin' anymore."

We'll also have any breaking news of the night, plus Rob Powers with the night's sports. I hope you can join Sade Baderinwa, tonight at 11.
