Suspect sought in West Village armed robbery

NEW YORK

Police say the suspect followed a 31-year old man into his apartment on West 10th Street just after 1 a.m., hitting the victim in the back of the head with his gun, and demanding money and jewelry.

According to police, the suspect did the same thing to another resident in the building, a 62-year old man, before taking off with jewelry and $1400 cash.

The victims were treated for minor injuries at a local area Hospital.

Surveillance photos were released of the suspect, who was wearing a ski mask.

He is described as a white male, 25 years old, approximately 6'3, 180 Lbs., long curly black hair.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black ski mask, black ski cap, black dress shoes, black gloves, black pants, and a black three quarter length overcoat.
