Clothing store clerk victim of attempted rape in South Bronx, police say

SOUTH BRONX, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police are looking for a man who they said tried to rape a woman in the clothing store where she works.

At 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 1, a man walked into a clothing store in the South Bronx, started browsing and attempted to rape the 41-year-old female clerk.

The victim was able to defend herself and the suspect fled the location.
