BROOKLYN (WABC) -- Traffic was backed up on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn Sunday after the Mill Basin Drawbridge became stuck in the open position.

The drawbridge was stuck for at least an hour before the problem was resolved and traffic began moving again. The bridge had to be brought down manually.

The bridge allows for marine traffic to make their way out to Jamaica Bay.

Lanes in all directions were at a standstill.
