NJ Burkett in Mott Haven with the exclusive report.

MOTT HAVEN, Bronx (WABC) -- A 2-year-old boy is recovering after falling out of a window in the Bronx Wednesday morning.

Da'Mir Holmes-Carter tumbled from a three-story window at his home on Brook Avenue near East 145th Street in Mott Haven.

The boy's aunt said she left the room for a moment, and Da'Mir climbed into the window and fell through a flimsy screen that was over the window.

Da'Mir was not seriously injured, according to his aunt. She said he's being transferred to Harlem Hospital where he will be treated for a concussion and evaluated with diagnostic imaging for other injuries.

He is not believed to have suffered any broken bones or internal injuries. He will likely be kept overnight.
