1 found dead after East Tremont fire

EAST TREMONT, Bronx (WABC) -- One person died in a fire at an abandoned home in the Bronx Tuesday.

The fire broke out in the house on Crotona Avenue in the East Tremont section just before 12:45 a.m.

Firefighters put out the blaze and found one person dead inside.

The identity of the victim was not immediately known.

The house was abandoned at the time of the fire.
