Police believe Bronx murder was case of mistaken identity

WILLIAMSBRIDGE (WABC) -- Police now believe a senseless murder in the Bronx was a case of mistaken identity. The gunman is still on the run.

Police are searching for 23-year-old Brendrick "Diddy" Brown. He allegedly shot and killed 33-year-old Janelle Jacobs last week outside her apartment in Williamsbridge.

Police believe she was mistakenly targeted in a gang-related turf war.
