Police: Man was robbed, thrown down stairs in Bronx apartment building

BRONX, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police are looking for a man who robbed another man and threw him down the stairs.

At 4 a.m. on Monday, a man was walking up the stairs at his apartment building at Davidson Avenue and West Fordham Road, when the suspect approached him and threw him down the staircase. The suspect then took the victim's cell phone and wallet, according to the New York City Police Department.

The wallet had credit cards and $250 inside. The victim was treated and released from North Central Bronx Hospital.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s, who is about 6 feet tall, wearing black jeans, a blue T-shirt with the letters R L on the front and a dark baseball cap with a white symbol on the front.
