2 NYPD officers hospitalized after confrontation with suspects

GRAVESEND (WABC) -- Two NYPD officers are out of the hospital after an altercation with several suspects inside a Brooklyn Housing Authority building.

Four suspects were taken into custody after the incident at the Marlboro Houses in Gravesend.

It happened just before 1 o'clock Sunday morning.

The officers were searching for a suspect wanted in a past robbery when they were confronted by the four men on a third floor stairwell

One officer suffered a minor injury, the other had a medical problem.

Both are expected to be OK.
