Young girl shot in front of building in Brooklyn

BROWNSVILLE (WABC) -- A young girl was hospitalized after being shot in Brooklyn late Tuesday.

The girl, believed to be a teenager, suffered a gunshot wound to the arm just before midnight at 15-23 St. Marks Avenue in Brownsville.

The shooting happened in front of the location.

The victim is being treated at Brookdale Hospital.

She is expected to be OK.

Police have yet to release much information, including her age.

The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation.
