Bruckner Expressway crash leaves 2 children, 3 adults hurt

BRONX (WABC) -- A Ford Expedition overturned on the eastbound Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx Saturday morning closing the road and leaving several people injured.

According to Emergency Medical Services, officials responded around 11:40 a.m. Five occupants of the vehicle were injured and all were taken to Jacoby Medical Center. A child was transported in critical condition, while another child was seriously injured but stable.

Three adults also were injured; all are listed as stable.

One of the adult victims apparently was ejected through the vehicle's tailgate and suffered a serious head injury.
