GARDEN CITY, N.Y. -- The "Cake Boss" is coming to Long Island.

Newsday reports that Buddy Valastro, the star of TLC's "Cake Boss," is opening his ninth Carlo's Bakery location on Saturday in Garden City.

Valastro will put down the dough long enough to cut the ribbon on his newest location.

Most of the baking takes place in the company's 70,000-square-foot bakery in Jersey City. The retail locations are supplied with cakes and cupcakes.

The first Carlo's Bakery was Valastro's father's bakery in Hoboken. His business took off in 2009 when "Cake Boss" premiered on TLC.

The Garden City location will be open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and will stay open an hour later on weekends.
