Man's body found alongside burning car in Sloatsburg, Rockland County

SLOATSBURG, New York (WABC) -- Police in Rockland County are investigating after a man was found dead alongside a burning car early Tuesday.

At about 12:20 a.m., the fire department received a call about a car fire on a dirt road off Waldron Terrace in Sloatsburg.

When they arrived, they found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames in an isolated area and discovered the man dead alongside the vehicle.

Police are calling the car fire suspicious.

The victim's identity has not yet been released, and the cause of death is under investigation.
