4 shot in Brooklyn in 90 minutes, including 11-year-old, as shooting spike continues

FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police in Brooklyn are investigating four shootings that happened in just over 90 minutes in Flatbush and Crown Heights and a total of six in all on Tuesday as shootings continue to spike across New York City.

The victims include an 11-year-old boy who was shot while playing outside of his home in Flatbush, and now, officials are demanding something be done to put a stop to the violence.

The child was wounded in a drive-by shooting that happened just before 10 p.m. on East 29th Street, as he stood on a porch with others when witnesses heard three gunshots.

Terrence Solomon saying his only grandson, TreShawn, was just feet away from their home when someone drove by and began shooting, hitting the boy in the leg.

"They drive fast and shoot, man, that's all the little babies," he said. "They're little kids, nobody big out here."

Detectives say he was not the intended target, and the investigation is ongoing.
