Police search for man with gun who threatened people inside Upper West Side church

UPPER WEST SIDE (WABC) -- Police are searching for a man who barged into a church on the Upper West Side with a gun and threatened worshippers.

Police say he walked into Advent Lutheran Church at Broadway and 93rd Street on Feb. 23rd at 8:30 a.m..

While displaying a black firearm, he approached a 60-year-old male victim and stated "I'm going to kill people" before fleeing in unknown direction, according to investigators.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described in his 30's, approximately 5'8", 180lbs, wearing a gray jacket and black jeans.
