CONEY ISLAND (WABC) -- Coney Island's legendary roller coaster is back on track after a rough opening weekend.

The Cyclone is now running without a hitch.

During its seasonal debut, the 87-year old coaster suddenly stopped, forcing riders to walk down the tracks.

Several of the passengers that got stuck last Sunday were first in line to finish their ride Saturday.

Luna Park operators say a new belt was installed in the Cyclone following the mishap.

Park staff scaled the sides of the coaster seconds after it came to a halt, racing to help the revelers.

No one was hurt.
