A dead whale washes ashore on Coney Island

Wildlife experts are trying to determine what caused a whale to wash ashore in Coney Island.

The Minke whale was found Monday on the beach.

The Riverhead Foundation sent a team to the assess the site.

A necroposy will be done to determine the cause of death.
