Teen injured after Copiague shooting on West Prospect Street

COPIAGUE, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police are looking for a suspect after a teenage boy was shot in the leg early Saturday morning.

A 14-year-old male was standing around 1 a.m. in the 500 block of West Prospect Street when he was shot, according to Suffolk County Police Department. The victim was hit in the leg and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.

He was treated and has been released.
