Man steals copper wiring from Sprint cell tower in Queens, police say

QUEENS, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police are looking for a man who stole copper wiring from a cell tower in Queens.

On March 13th, police said a man went to the roof of a Sprint cell phone tower where he took copper grounding wires. He fled southbound on 42nd Street with the wire, according to the New York City Police Department.

Police describe the man as Hispanic, 40-years-old, about 5 feet 9 inches, about 200 pounds, wearing blue jeans, black boot, a gray sweatshirt and a black vest.
