Coyote being tested for rabies after discovered in trap in Norwood

NORWOOD (WABC) -- A coyote is being tested for rabies after it was found dead in New Jersey.

The Bergen Record reports the animal was discovered in a trap in Norwood.

Wildlife officials set the traps on Thursday after the coyote was shot by police, but ran away before it could be captured.

Another coyote that attacked a man last week did test positive for rabies.
