EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Eight people were injured, including three children, when a stolen SUV slammed into two cars on the Belt Parkway early Sunday, police said.
According to the NYPD, the driver of a white Mercedes SUV that was reported stolen out of New Jersey lost control and struck the rear of a 4-door Honda sedan.
The SUV then continued out of control and crashed into a Mitsubishi SUV.
Police say the driver of the Mercedes jumped out of the vehicle and fled the scene.
The driver is described to be a white or Hispanic male wearing a white tee-shirt.

A 59-year-old woman who was driving the Honda is in critical condition at Jamaica Hospital.
Three children in the car with her, ages 8, 7 and 4, suffered minor injuries.
Four adults in the Mitsubishi were taken to Brookdale Hospital with minor injuries.
The eastbound lanes of the Belt Parkway were closed for several hours after the crash.
