72 Year Old Man slashed on Greenwich Village street

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A 72 year old man was slashed in the left side of the neck by a homeless woman in Greenwich Village Thursday night.

The victim was stabbed by a woman, armed with a pair of scissors, at Seventh Avenue and West 14 Street just before 7:45 p.m.

He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

30 year old Alexis Starts was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. She is believed to be homeless.
