MASTIC, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police on Long Island arrested a woman accused of dumping her dog at a gas station.
Josephine Rivera is charged with misdemeanor abandonment.
Police say she's the woman caught on surveillance throwing the dog from her car in Mastic last month.
A witness says she then drove away as the dog circled the car trying to get back in.
Rivera was charged with a misdemeanor abandonment charge. A $2,000 reward resulted in tips leading to the arrest.
