Authorities investigating fatal Englewood fire

ENGLEWOOD (WABC) -- Authorities are investigating a fatal fire in Englewood, New Jersey.

Flames broke out just before 2 p.m. in a home on Shepard Avenue in Englewood.

57-year-old Charles Brown was trapped by the flames. Firefighters pulled him from the home in cardiac arrest.

Brown was transported to Englewood Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Another resident was transported to the hospital, and was treated for a hand injury. His identity has not yet been released.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
