Why 'Designated Survivor' is the perfect show for this election season

It's still up in the air if Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump will be our nation's next president. But one thing's for certain: ABC's new political thriller Designated Survivor will win audiences' votes this fall.

Kiefer Sutherland plays Tom Kirkman, a cabinet member who unexpectedly becomes president of the United States after a terrorist attack kills everyone ahead of him in the presidential line of succession. Now Kirkman must summon the strength to guide and inspire the country through its time of crisis, all while discovering what it means to be a true leader.
