Police: Woman tries to lure students on fake school bus in West Islip

WEST ISLIP (WABC) -- A warning has been issued about a suspicious incident involving a fake school bus on Long Island.

Officials in West Islip say recently two elementary students were walking home on Higbie Road when a woman in an unmarked school bus stopped and encouraged them to come on. The students kept walking.

The bus is described as a yellow mini bus with no markings, and a black rear door, painted with a white or light pink star or flower.

Suffolk County Police are investigating.
