GOSHEN, New York (WABC) -- Two teenagers have been charged in the murder of an 81-year-old woman in Goshen, Orange County.
Police have charged 17-year-old Jennifer Molyneaux and 19-year-old Devin Giordano in the death of 81-year-old Helen Mills.
Mills' body was found inside the Orange County home after a fire on Saturday.
The charred burned out home on Green Street shows the aftermath of a fire that investigators say was deliberately set to hide other crimes that took place there: burglary and murder.
Police suspected something didn't add up after the woman's body was discovered and an autopsy was conducted.
Investigators say Molyneaux and Giordano went to the home to steal money for drugs.
There was an altercation and the victim suffered blunt force trauma. According to police, blood and marks from a struggle were found on Molyneaux's body. At Giordano's home, police say money from the robbery was recovered.
Both teens have been charged with murder.
