Hispanic Federation presents 9th Annual GUGM New York Health Expo

NEW YORK -- Free health screenings, fitness activities, health information, nutritional snacks and family fun at the GUGM New York Health Expo!

This Sunday, September 20, 2015, the National Alliance for Hispanic Health and the Hispanic Federation present the 9th Annual Vive tu vida! Get Up! Get Moving! (GUGM) New York at Carnaval de la Cultura Latina. GUGM New York promotes Hispanic family physical activity and good nutrition for better health and wellness for people of all ages and all sizes. This FREE, open to the public event is made possible by an extraordinary group of partners and volunteers.



"This year's ninth annual GUGM New York health expo will allow us to touch the lives of over 2,000 individuals with health screenings and education on a wide range of health topics such as blood pressure, glucose, HIV, hepatitis C, BMI, asthma, HPV, and various cancers," said Jose Calderon, President of the Hispanic Federation. "GUGM allows us to improve the lives of thousands and work overall towards ensuring a stronger and healthier community. We are proud to carry out this important effort in collaboration with our partners, sponsors and family network of Latino nonprofits."
