CHICAGO, Illinois (WABC) -- Depositions are set to begin Wednesday in Chicago in the lawsuit against Remington, a gun manufacturer.
The suit against Remington is brought by the families of the nine victims of the 2012 school shooting in Newton, Conn.
Attorneys representing the Sandy Hook victims' families will depose two Remington employees.
The families argue that the AR Style guns, similar to the rifle used in Sandy Hook, have no legitimate purpose in civilians hands.
They also accuse Remington of using military language in its marketing to appeal to those wanting to commit mass murder.
The families are also asking Remington to turn over documents about firearm safety and sales practices.
