HACKENSACK (WABC) -- A woman has tested negative for Ebola at Hackensack University Medical Center after traveling to the Ebola-stricken country of Sierra Leone.

The 35-year-old arrived at Newark Airport Monday afternoon on a United Airlines flight from Brussels.

The patient had a fever, and was vomiting. The hospital says she was kept overnight out of an abundance of caution.

After testing negative Tuesday, the woman was released from the hospital.
