New Jersey, Long Island suffer power outages amid high winds

High winds on Long Island and in New Jersey are causing power outages and driving complications.



Due to high winds and road conditions, motorists asked to drive at reduced speeds



About 2,000 people are without service in scattered areas on Long Island.



In New Jersey, about 500 PSEG customers are without power. About 5,000 JCPL customers have no service; 3,000 of them are in Sussex County.



In Orange and Rockland counties, 2,300 residents are without service.



Con Ed customers do not appear to be affected.
