Pedestrian in Patchogue critically hurt in hit-and-run

A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after a hit-and-run in Patchogue.

PATCHOGUE, Long Island (WABC) -- A pedestrian was struck in Patchogue by a hit-and-run driver overnight Monday.

Authorities say the 56-year-old victim was crossing at Main Street and Bay Avenue around 11:30 p.m.

He was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital with a non life-threatening injury.

Police are looking for a vehicle, possibly a light-colored pickup truck, that fled the scene.
