Police make arrest in Brooklyn fatal hit-and-run

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police have made an arrest in a hit-and-run Friday night.



Around 8:20 p.m. Friday, police responded to a pedestrian, identified Ian Paul Bubb, 49, of Brooklyn, hit by a car near Glenwood Road and Rockaway Parkway in Brooklyn.



Police said a 49-year-old man was lying in the road badly injured. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead.



Richard Williams, 26, of Brooklyn, has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident.



A 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee had been traveling east on Glenwood Road, crossing Rockaway Parkway, when he struck Bubb who was crossing north on Glenwood Road outside the marked crosswalk.
