All-clear in Holmdel schools after suspicious phone call

HOLMDEL, N.J. -- A shelter in place was cancelled for all schools in Holmdel, New Jersey after police investigated a suspicious phone call.

The call was received Tuesday morning at Village Elementary School.

A message was posted on the district's website:

"There was a suspicious phone call received this morning at Village School. As a result, all of our buildings have been placed in "Shelter in Place," which means that no one may enter or exit any building until the police have given clearance to resume to normal operations. All are safe. The police have been on the scene at Village as well as monitoring all schools. We will keep you informed as the police conduct their work. Please do not attempt to come to the schools at this time. "

There have been 3 'swatting incidents' in Holmdel since March 31st and each one was on a Tuesday.
