Man fatally shot in East Village

EAST VILLAGE (WABC) -- A man has been fatally shot in an East Village housing project.

The shooting happened at 4:30 p.m. at the Lillian Wald Houses at 20 Avenue D.

The 33-year-old victim was shot four times. He was rushed to Mount Sinai Beth Israel where he later died.

It's not yet known what led to the shooting.
