JERSEY CITY (WABC) -- Reports of an officer-involved shooting sparked a massive police response in New Jersey early Tuesday.
The incident happened near Bergen Avenue and Ege Avenue in Jersey City around 1 a.m.
Sources say police were trying to make an arrest when the suspect took off. Officers gave chase, first in car and then on foot, and then opened fire on the suspect.
No one was struck, but minor injuries were reported among the pursuing officers.
The suspect was taken into custody, and the crime scene was cleared within a few hours.
The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office is expected to release further details later in the day.
