2 officers hurt trying at arrest cab driver at JFK airport

QUEENS, N.Y. (WABC) -- Two Port Authority Police officers were hurt while trying to arrest a taxi driver at Kennedy airport Tuesday night.

The officers were attempting to arrest the suspect for hustling a passenger at around 8 p.m. when he drove away, authorities said.

He struck one officer with his car and caught the other's hand as he rolled up his car window.

The New York City Police Department pursued the suspect, catching him after he ditched his car near 96th Street and Linden Boulevard in Queens.
