Brooklyn woman arrested on Long Island after working for AHRC

WOODMERE, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police arrested a Brooklyn woman on Monday in connection with a larceny and fraud case on Long Island.

According to Nassau County Police, Leslie Vega fraudulently withdrew funds from multiple TD Banks belonging to group home members while working at AHRC in Woodmere.

Vega, 46, of Brooklyn, was arrested Monday for the thefts which police said occurred between Nov. 12 and Nov. 17, 2012. Police said Vega caused TD Bank a loss of more than $4,000.

She was arrested while in court being arraigned on an unrelated charge.

Vega is newly charged with grand larceny 3rd degree, criminal possession of forged instrument 2nd degree and scheme to defraud 1st degree.
