EASTCHESTER, New York (WABC) -- The death of a 7-year-old has a community grieving and the Westchester County Department of Health investigating.

Lily Cate Love, of Eastchester, died on Saturday, with the exact cause of her passing still unknown.

"Preliminary findings show this death to be an isolated event," a statement from Westchester County Commissioner of Health Dr. Sherlita Amler read. "Based on what is known at this time, there are no indications of any impact to others at the school."

Lily Love was a second grade student at the Greenvale School.

The school was deemed safe for students and staff to return Monday, and, according to Dr. Amler, no additional action is necessary regarding the safety of the students, faculty and staff.

"This tragic and sudden loss is expected to have a significant impact on our school community," superintendent Dr. Walter Moran wrote in a letter to parents. "Our Crisis Intervention Team met Saturday evening to discuss how to best support the Greenvale community through this difficult time."

"Lily touched all those she encountered with her ever present smile and laugh," her obituary reads. "She was joy itself and taught us all to be kinder, better, and more loving people."

A wake will be held Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hitchcock Presbyterian Church in Scarsdale. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Hitchcock Presbyterian Church at 9:30 a.m.
