Police make arrest after man follows woman home in Lower East Side attempted rape

LOWER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police say they've caught the man who forced his way into a woman's home and tried to rape her.

NYPD officers arrested 41-year-old Robert Adams. Investigators say he followed a woman home on the Lower East Side and grabbed her earlier this month.

Officers say he tried to remove her clothes, but she fought him off.

Adams faces charges including attempted rape and trespassing.
